Is this your first visit to our website? We welcome you!
There are many reasons you may be here:
Your child has received a diagnosis of a mood or anxiety disorder, or maybe has challenges with moods and anxiety due to another diagnosis or a rough patch in life
You are looking to connect with others who understand what your family is experiencing
You may not yet be ready to talk with family and friends about what is going on - often when we become more clear and understanding ourselves, we are then more easily able to share with loved ones or those involved in our children's lives
You may be looking for information so you can better understand what is happening with a family you know
You may have a student or child you work with in an educational or extracurricular setting who is experiencing challenges with moods or anxiety, and you wish to better understand
Whatever your reason for visiting our site, we hope you find something that will help you. Our organization serves families in the west central Florida area, with emphasis on the Tampa Bay (and surrounding) areas.
Many times we are the first people families talk with, and we assure you, we do understand. It can be so helpful just knowing you are not alone. There is a positive path through all of this though it may not be the path you originally envisioned for your child or teen. We hope you feel empowered to advocate for your child. Many support and/or treatment options are available. We are families helping other families so that they can move forward - we all need some help sometimes!
A sign up form on our homepage or the right hand side of this page will subscribe you to our newsletter (generally sent once a month). In addition to our newsletter, we do have a West Central Florida area Yahoo Group for those who would like to make online connections with other families in the area (link is near the bottom of this page).
We hope you will join us in Tampa for our monthly meetings (second Sunday of each month - more information HERE) or any other activity we may be having. You can always feel free to email or call us ("About Us and How to contact our Board and Officers" tab).
