  * Dr. Soman began his studies of Ayurveda at the age of fifteen, as is traditional in India. His family included three generations of physicians, so he was fortunate to learn much about the practical approach of Ayurveda from them as well as many other Ayurvedic scholars. In 1980, he graduated from the Dhanwantari Ayurveda College in Kerala, India, known to be the cradle of Ayurveda. He spent the next nine years as chief of staff of Amritam Ayurveda Hospital.
  * In 1990, Dr. Soman started practicing Ayurveda in the United States. Since then, thousands of patients from all over the country have benefited from his unique healing methods.
