Walk for Life 2009 for suicide awareness and prevention by Manatee Glens Hospital and other community advocates

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
7:30 am - Registration/Check-In
8:20 am – FamiliesOfKids.org Team will gather near the stage (look for decorated sun visors!) for Team photo
8:30 am – Welcome, Invocation, stretch
8:50 am - 5 K Scenic Walk Over The Manatee River
10:15 am - Butterfly/Bubble Release, followed by awards
10:30 am - Food & Entertainment

HOTEL: Some families will be staying at the Courtyard Bradenton Sarasota/Riverfront on Friday and Saturday nights. The hotel is right across the bridge from Sutton Park where the Walk for Life starts and ends, so this will make for an easier early morning on Saturday. We plan on being poolside after the Walk! If you would like to make a reservation and join us, please contact Julie Dunn at info@harboursidetravel.com or (727) 724-9094. She will make the reservation, ensuring you get the lowest rate possible and that our rooms are close together.:

Please join us for the 2009 Walk for Life for suicide awareness and prevention. The Walk for Life is held by Manatee Glens Hospital together with other community advocates. We invite you to join the FamiliesOfKids.org Team or help our team by sponsoring one of our members!

This year's Walk for Life will again be at Sutton Park (beautiful route crossing the bridge over Manatee River into downtown Bradenton and back again!). The date is Saturday, September 26, 2009. Come join us for this special event, and please forward this email to get the word out!

Scroll down to see a list of Team members (listed under "My Top Supporters") and click a member's name. At the member's page, there is a "Donate Now" button in the upper right. Donations start at $1. Every $1 donated will help save lives!

To join our Team, please visit our Team page at http://manateeglens.donorpages.com/WalkForLife2009/FamiliesOfKidsorg/. Follow these instructions (the Team name and password you will need to join our Team are included below).

Click “Register/Login” in the top right (above the fundraising thermometer). Follow the prompts to choose your user name, accept Terms of Service, and your registration information.

On the information page after you enter your t-shirt size and birthdate, please type “FamiliesofKids.org”(no quotation marks) in the “Team name” spot.

After you complete your registration payment of $20 or $10, you’ll be taken to a page that shows 4 steps (information about setting up your personal fundraising page, etc.). Click “continue” and you will be taken to your personal page.

At your personal page, click “My Team” in the right hand box. When prompted, type FamiliesofKids.org for the Team Name and fkmadwalk for the Team Password.
